Acorn Assessors is the UK’s prime provider of services to the vehicle insurance industry established in 1996 supplying engineers, vehicle assessment services and management of the whole lifecycle of motor vehicle claims, for insurance companies, accident management companies, fleet operators and solicitors.
Our journey began in 1996 in a small, cramped dining room in Ripon , North Yorkshire. Working from a single desk, John Townsend had the vision, passion, honesty and integrity to build the company up to be one of the UK’s leading vehicle damage assessors.
Our company and our people are, still to this day, built around the values shown by John and play a huge part in how we do business today.
Our hard work has seen us grow to become a trusted nationwide company employing over 30 office staff and engineers operating from our head office in Yorkshire, processing large volumes of inspections on a daily basis.
We have developed a bespoke back office solution which is constantly evolving providing live data and reporting functions to our principals, utilising API data can be fed from the various systems used in processing claims to ensure accuracy and efficiency in providing our reports
